Once you’re satisfied with the exposure and testing that your build has received in a release channel, you can copy the build to another release channel to expose it to a new set of testers or users.
If the release channel to which you’re copying the build already has a build on it, make sure the new build has a higher build number than the old. Only build versions with higher version numbers can be copied over lower version builds. You cannot replace a channel’s existing build with an older version. The build version numbers are indicated on the Build Dashboard.
In the left-side navigation, select Distribution > Release Channels.
In the Name column, click the release channel containing the build you want to replace.
In the upper right corner, click Change Current Build.
Builds that have been uploaded to other channels will display.
Choose the build to add to the selected channel and click Submit.
The build is copied to the new channel and is made available to all subscribed users as an update.
Note: We recommend that you maintain a known-stable version of your app so that you can quickly upload it and release the update to your users if you find a serious problem with the currently-published version.
