Ads quick start guide

This guide provides a concise overview for new Meta Horizon advertisers aiming to launch an ad campaign quickly.
Before starting, ensure the following:
- Your developer organization is verified.
- Your Meta Horizon app is fully launched on the Meta Horizon store. Apps in the Coming Soon or Pre-order phases are ineligible for App promotion ads.
- You have an eligible Meta ad account. Set up your ad account in the Developer Dashboard by following the onboarding instructions under Growth > Ads.
- A Facebook page is required for Meta Horizon Store app ads. For Instagram ads, an Instagram page is necessary. Create pages through Business Manager.
- At least one creative asset (image or video) is available. For limited resources, a 1:1 ratio is recommended.
- A valid payment method for advertising has been set up.
- Open Ads Manager and click the green + Create campaign button.
- Choose the App promotion objective and select the Advantage+ app campaign setup.
- Choose Meta Quest App Store and the App name you wish to promote.
- Set the Performance goal to Maximize number of app installs.
- Enter your bid and budget. If unsure of the bid amount, leave the Cost per result goal field empty. Specify a daily or lifetime budget in the Budget & schedule section.
- Define your ad targeting by country and age in the Audience section.
- Click Next, connect your Facebook and Instagram pages at the Ad level.
- Upload your creative asset in the Ad creative section and add up to 5 primary texts and headlines.
- Click Publish. If this is your first ad, you’ll be prompted to enter payment details.
- Await ad review, typically completed within 24 non-business hours. Once approved, your ad will go live.
