Meta Quest Brand Guidelines

To pass the publishing review process, your app and its related text and imagery must adhere to these guidelines that describe the allowable uses of the Meta Quest logo.
Follow the guidelines in this section when using the Meta Quest logo in your app and marketing collateral.
The Meta Quest logo:
- Must only be used to communicate the platform on which the game or other VR experience runs.
Must not be used to claim or imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Example of prohibited use: “This game was created in partnership with (logo).”
- Must not be covered, modified, or altered in any way.
Trailers, videos, and screenshots The Meta Quest logo:
- Must only be used to communicate the platform on which the game or VR experience runs.
Must not be used to claim or imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Example of prohibited use: “This game was created in partnership with (logo).”
- May be placed either at the beginning or end of the trailer or video, but must appear by itself.
- Must not be used for marking or watermarking screenshots.
- Must not be covered, modified, or altered in any way.
The Oculus word mark and/or logo must not be used in-game without permission; this includes splash screens.
The Meta Quest logo:
- Must only be used to communicate the platform on which the game or VR experience runs.
Must not be used to claim or imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Example of prohibited use: “This game was created in partnership with (logo).”
- Must not be covered, modified, or altered in any way.
Adhere to the following guidelines when writing press release for your own products.
The name of our Meta Quest products are Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Oculus Rift. “Quest” or “Rift” must not be used without the “Meta” or “Oculus” prefix without prior approval from Meta.
Example of correct use: “This game will eventually release on Meta Quest Pro.”
If mentioning the Meta Horizon platform in press or marketing materials, you must state “Meta Horizon platform” without any other descriptors.
The word platform in “Meta Horizon platform” must always appear in lowercase.
When speaking of the “platform,” you must not add or include any other descriptive words. Such descriptive words include, but are not limited to, goggles, headset, or glasses.
Example of correct use: “We created X for the Meta Horizon platform.”
Example of prohibited use: “We created X for the Meta Horizon platform headset.”
When referencing the location where content can be downloaded, refer to either the “Meta Horizon Store” or a particular section of the “Meta Horizon Store.”
Examples of correct use: “You can download [app name] now from the Meta Horizon Store.” “[App name] can now be found in the Early Access section of the Meta Horizon Store”
If your content or product is compatible with or related to Meta Quest, you may describe how your application or product relates to Meta Quest by using the appropriate referential phrase. For example, “for use with Meta Quest” or “compatible with Meta Quest.”
Remember that you must not use any Meta-owned trademarks in a way that implies partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement. This includes combining any part of the Meta, Meta Quest, or Oculus Rift names with your company name, product or service names, domain names, or with other generic terms, or making Meta Quest the most distinctive or prominent feature of your design.
Example of correct use: “Your App Name for Meta Quest”
Examples of prohibited use:
- “RiftFootball”
- “QuestFlight”
- “Meta Roller Coaster”
- “Meta Quest Racer”
Meta trademarks, including but not limited to, META, the Meta Logo, META QUEST, OCULUS and the Oculus Logo are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”). Meta trademarks may be used only as provided in these guidelines or with permission from Meta. You may not use or register, or otherwise claim trademark rights in, any Meta trademark, or any part of any Meta trademark, including as or as part of any trademark, service mark, company name, trade name, username, mobile app name or domain name. Further, you should not use or claim rights in any mark, logo, or name that may be confusingly similar to or dilutive of any of the Meta trademarks or logos. The photos and images provided on this site are also owned by Meta, and may only be used as provided in these guidelines or with permission from Meta. You should not register for or claim copyrights in any of these photos or images. Meta reserves its right to withhold approval of content that it feels is inconsistent with the Meta Quest brand, including any content that does not comply with the requirements in this guide. If you do receive permission from Meta and abide by these guidelines, you may use the authorized trademarks, logos and other assets, including the photos and images, but such permission is non-transferable, non-exclusive, and royalty-free. Meta may revoke permission to use any of its trademarks, copyrighted works or other Meta-owned assets at any time. Meta reserves all rights.
