Analytics overview dashboard

This topic provides information on the
Analytics Overview dashboard, available in the
Developer Dashboard. As a developer, you can use the overview dashboard to get a quick snapshot of your app’s performance as the page combines the most important metrics from other dashboards.
To view the overview dashboard:
- Open your browser and navigate to the Analytics Overview dashboard.
- Choose your app.
- You must have published an app on the Meta Horizon Store with over 100 active users throughout its lifetime.
- You must have an account within your organization with the proper permissions to access the dashboard. For more information, see App analytics introduction.
The overview dashboard provides an analytics snapshot for your app. From this page, you can kick off a deeper investigation into specific metric areas by accessing other dashboards such as Revenue or Crash. The following image contains charts with fictional data for illustrative purposes.
The overview dashboard provides the following options and data:
- Lifetime data:
- Lifetime Copies sold
- Lifetime App Sales Revenue
- Lifetime Add-on Content Revenue
- Lifetime Installs
- Lifetime Active Users
- Date selector: Use the date selector drop-down to choose a date range. The data displayed in the charts below the selector will be in relation to this range. Lifetime data is unaffected by date selector.
- View Details links: You can click the View Details link at the bottom of each displayed metric to navigate to the primary dashboard for that metric category. This dashboard will contain more details about that metric as well as other related metrics.
- Date range charts: These charts display metrics for the selected date range.
- Copies Sold: The number of times the right to use your app was purchased on the store. Only applicable to paid apps.
- App Sales Revenue: The amount of money your app earned through app sales. Only applicable to paid apps.
- Add-on Content Revenue: The amount of money earned through other purchases for your app, such as add-on content purchases and subscriptions.
- Installs: The number of times your app was installed.
- Active Users: The number of unique users who spent at least 1 second in your app.
- Average Frames Per Second: High level app performance metric measuring average FPS across different headset types.
- Average Time Spent Per User: The average amount of time that active users spend in your app per day.
- App Ratings: Star ratings for your app from the selected time range.
- Active Users Per Country: The percentage of unique users of your app by country.
- User Crash Rate: The approximate percentage of app users who experienced a crash in your app during the selected time period.
- Multiplayer Travel Failure Rate: The daily rate of instances where an invitee fails to join the inviter in a Multiplayer destination. Only applicable to apps which use destinations.
You can configure analytics alerts for this dashboard to set up and receive alerts for your app. For more information, see

- Pin the overview dashboard to Shortcuts and monitor the page weekly to identify significant changes to your app experience. You can also access the Analytics Overview dashboard on a mobile device using a mobile web browser.
- Configure alerts for critical metrics so that you are informed immediately.
- Use the overview dashboard as a starting point for further investigation into specific metrics. Other analytics dashboards, like Revenue or Crash, contain more details for their metric categories.
