After submission

Once your app has been submitted, you’ll be able to track the review progress on the Submission tab. The following indicators may be shown:
- Submitted. Your app has been received. You can still make changes or cancel your submission if need be.
- Under Review. We are checking that your app meets our requirements to be published on the platform. While under review you won’t be able to make updates to the build, copy, assets, and so on. If you need to make changes, contact us using the Get Developer Support form.
- Changes Requested. Changes are required to the app. You can view VRC results for your build and App Metadata on their respective tabs. The review team may also provide a general note on the Submission tab.
During the review process for, the Meta Horizon Store team will verify that your app conforms to the
VRC guidelines for Meta Quest.
If your app fails one of these VRCs, we will move your submission into “Changes Requested” status with an explanation of what you need to do. In order to proceed, resolve the issue and then resubmit the application to us. If you have any questions, send us a message using the
Get Developer Support form and we’ll clarify your next steps. You can also email us if your submission is locked in
Under Review status and you’d like us to put it into
Changes Requested so that you can make updates.
Review process for Link PC-VR devices
During the review process, the review team will verify that your app conforms to the
VRC guidelines for Oculus Rift.
If your app fails one of these VRCs, we will move your submission into “Changes Requested” status with an explanation of what you need to do. In order to proceed, resolve the issue and then resubmit the application to us. If you have any questions, send us a message using the

Under Review status and you’d like us to put it into
Changes Requested so that you can make updates.
After the review has been completed, we’ll update your status to one of the following:
- Approved. Your app is ready to be released. If you selected “Scheduled Release” when submitting your app, you can schedule it on the Meta Quest Developer Dashboard. For Managed releases, the Store team will coordinate the date and time with you. If you need to make updates to the build please wait until your app has gone live.
- Released. Your app is published and live on the platform.
- Rejected. Outright rejections are rare. Submitted apps usually don’t get past the Changes Requested stage if they’ve got problems that need to be resolved. This is used only when an app breaks policies regarding security, adult content, or another serious violation.
After the review is complete and your app is released, you can update your app binary without going through additional review. The moment you upload or copy a new version of your app binary to the Production release channel, the app is pushed out to all existing users of your app immediately and without review.
