Meta Horizon Start developer program

Meta Horizon Start is Meta’s developer accelerator program designed to help you build, launch, and grow VR and MR apps on Meta Quest. The program provides resources, community access, and support to help developers at all stages succeed on the platform.

Program benefits

Start members receive:

Global community membership: Connect with and learn from thousands of experienced VR and MR developers.

Development resources: Access exclusive Meta events, advanced technical education, community mentorship, software credits, and go-to-market guidance.

Technical support: Receive priority technical support from Meta staff and fellow Start community members.

Competition access: Participate in developer competitions and hackathons hosted through DevPost.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for Meta Horizon Start, you must meet the following criteria:

You must be 18 years of age or older.

Your developer account must be in good standing with Meta.

You must be located in an eligible country. Check the application page for the current list of eligible countries.

Application process

To apply for the Meta Horizon Start program:

Visit the Meta Horizon Start application page.

Complete the application form with your developer background and project details.

Submit your application for review.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You will receive a notification when your application has been processed.

DevPost competitions

Meta hosts developer competitions and hackathons through DevPost. These competitions give you the opportunity to showcase your work, win prizes, and gain visibility for your projects.
