Verify your organization

Updated: Aug 24, 2026
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a secure platform, all Meta Quest developers must undergo developer organization verification. This process ensures that developer accounts are associated with legitimate organizations. Every developer organization that wishes to submit an app to the Meta Horizon Store must complete this verification.
Developer organizations are required to verify either the identity of an admin or their business before they can publish or update apps. Failing to verify will prevent the organization from publishing, updating apps, or submitting Data Use Checkup (DUC) recertification.

Choosing a verification path

There are two ways to verify your organization. For most developers, especially independent developers and small studios, Admin Verification is the fastest and simplest path. It requires only a government-issued ID and is typically completed within minutes.
  • Admin verification (recommended for most developers): Verifies your identity using a government-issued ID. This is the quickest way to get verified and start publishing.
  • Business verification: Verifies your organization as a legal business entity using business documentation such as incorporation certificates or business licenses. Choose this path if you have an established business entity with formal documentation readily available.

Getting started

If you are an admin or an authorized representative for your organization, you can start verification from the Developer Dashboard. If your organization is unverified, you’ll see notifications in the Developer Dashboard prompting you to start verification. On the Organization verification page, you’ll be able to complete either verification process.
