Share Content from Apps

The Meta Horizon platform provides the Sharing feature, which enables users to share their VR experience by livestreaming video to their Facebook network or Instagram networks. In addition, users can cast content from their Meta Quest device to another device on the same network.
Note: The Sharing feature is only available for Android apps at this time.
Account linking with Facebook
The
Accounts Center is a place where you can manage connected experiences (like logging in across your accounts) for your Facebook, Instagram and Meta accounts. You can add Facebook, Instagram, and Meta accounts to the same Accounts Center to link those accounts together.
Users who wish to share to their Facebook or Instagram network first need to link their Facebook and/or Instagram account with the Meta account.
If you want users to share content from your apps, notify them that Sharing is available to them if they link their accounts in the Settings > Linked Account > Link to Facebook section of the Meta Quest 2D app.
Enable sharing features for your app
Note: Sharing features (such as casting, video recording, and taking photos) are enabled by default.
To select sharing features for your app:
In the Meta Quest Dashboard, select an app.
Go to Settings > Sharing.
In the Enabled Features dropdown, deselect the checkbox next to any features you do not want to use.
Click Save.
