Tracked Keyboard Deprecation
As of v72, Tracked Keyboard as a feature is being deprecated in favor of the new Generic Keyboard Tracker (available on Quest 3 and Quest 3S).
This documentation is no longer being updated and is subject for removal.
This topic discusses physical tracked keyboard functionality from within the Unity editor using Link.
Link has the following limitations for debugging:
- You cannot use passthrough functionality. Passthrough hands do not appear when your hands are near the keyboard. When using the MR presentation mode a black rectangle replaces the passthrough area.
- You cannot see text in text fields when you type on the physical tracked keyboard.
Debug Physical Tracked Keyboard functionality with Link
Use tracked keyboards to debug VR applications from within the Unity editor with Link.
- If you haven’t already done so, set up your Meta Quest to enable physical tracked keyboards.
- Open the Meta Quest application on your computer.
