Overview

Version 201 contains a major visual redesign with a clean and intuitive UI, as well as various bug fixes.

What's new

  • Redesigned UI: toolbar, navigation, input settings, input bindings, console, and bottom tray, multiplayer view
  • New modals: about, settings, documentation, bug report, environment selector, record/replay flow
  • New graphics panel with detailed FPS and layer information

  • Fixed multiple crashes in the simulator and Unity runtime, including races when opening the Graphics Panel, switching SES, closing the app, restarting the simulator, and stopping multiplayer sessions
  • Fixed janky camera movement
  • Fixed input source switching between Hand and Controller devices
  • Fixed blank key bindings being saved in the Input Bindings panel
  • Fixed Settings showing the OpenXR runtime version instead of the app version
  • Fixed keyboard and mouse inputs not syncing between runtime sessions
  • Fixed stale input state after a device switch
  • Fixed inconsistent headset type across projects after restart
  • Point-and-click settings are now preserved across gaze-and-hands mode

  • Certain Unreal Engine scenes may crash when running in XR Simulator
  • Effect meshes in Unity may not line up properly with scene geometry and camera
