Meta VR Glasses define a new era of VR: lightweight glasses paired with a compact compute puck, running Meta Horizon OS. They take input from your eyes, hands and voice so you can build immersive experiences people can wear anywhere. Start building today so your app is ready at launch.

Our most advanced and lightest VR device, backed by a familiar platform.

FORM FACTOR
At about 100g, VR Glasses stay light by moving compute and battery into a compact puck connected by a thin tether, making them comfortable enough to wear for hours.

NATURAL INPUT
Look to target, tap to select and talk to Meta AI with no controllers required. Meta Quest Touch Plus Controllers are supported to access the full Meta Quest library (controllers available separately).

PLATFORM
Meta VR Glasses run on the existing OS you already know on Meta Quest and use the same SDKs, so your tools and skills carry over.
The SDKs and tools to build for Meta VR Glasses are already available. You can build and test right on your computer with Meta XR Simulator and Spatial Simulator. Both support Meta VR Glasses input, so your experience is ready the day it launches.
New hardware usually means starting over. Not this time. Meta VR Glasses run the same OS as Meta Quest and use the same engines, SDKs, and samples you already know. A single app can target both Meta Quest and Meta VR Glasses, or you can ship separate builds to each device. There's also a clear path to bring over what you've already built: the Device Readiness Check and agentic tooling help you add support for eyes and hands. To make sure your AI agent has all the latest context on Meta VR Glasses, install Meta VR CLI.

Both are Meta VR devices. They differ most in form factor and input.

On Meta VR Glasses, the primary input is eyes and hands: look with your eyes, act with your hands. Design your app around gaze-to-target and pinch-to-select first, then add controllers as an option for the people who have them. The Meta XR Interaction SDK gives you targeting, selection, scrolling and grabbing out of the box.
From unforgettable entertainment and peak productivity to immersive games, see what Meta VR Glasses makes possible.

A 5K micro-OLED display keeps text and fine detail crisp, which makes it ideal for reading-heavy, productivity, and media apps.

High-quality, full-color passthrough with autofocus and depth lets your apps blend the digital and physical worlds.

Build games for hands-first play that work natively on Meta VR Glasses. Controllers work too, keeping the full Meta Quest catalog available to players who have them.

People can connect a Mac or PC wirelessly and work across multiple large virtual screens while still seeing their real desk.
Start where it makes sense for you.
Panel and 2D apps feel right at home on Meta VR Glasses and are the fastest way to your first build. Bring an Android or web app and get running on Meta Horizon OS.
Your OS, SDKs and tools carry over. Bring your existing app, optimize it for eyes and hands and target both device lines from one project.
Pick your development path. Every path works with AI tooling: install the Meta VR CLI to scaffold and optimize projects with agents like Muse Code.
