UnityXR Comprehensive Interaction Rig Quick Action

Updated: Aug 21, 2026
Interaction SDK provides a Quick Action for the UnityXR Comprehensive Interaction Rig. It adds the rig to your scene, creates the objects you need, and links them for you.

Open the wizard

You can start the Quick Action from the GameObject menu in the menu bar, or by right-clicking in the Hierarchy panel. The menu item is always enabled, and your selection does not affect it.
GameObject > Interaction SDK > Add UnityXR Comprehensive Interaction Rig
The menu item opens a window titled Unity XR Comprehensive Interaction Rig Wizard. The window has two sections: one for the wizard settings, and one listing the required components.
Configure the settings, then select Create. The wizard adds the UnityXRComprehensiveInteractionRig prefab and parents it to the camera rig. Select Cancel to close the wizard.

Settings

The wizard has two settings.
SettingDescription
Generate As Editable Copy
On by default. The wizard unpacks the rig prefab and creates a single shared prefab variant that both the left and right interactor hierarchies use, so you can inspect one side and apply your changes to both. Turn it off and the wizard adds the rig as a prefab instance linked to the Interaction SDK package prefab, generates no variant, and writes nothing to your Assets/ folder.
Prefab Path
This text field shows only when Generate As Editable Copy is on. The default value is InteractionSDK/ComprehensiveInteractors.prefab. The path is relative to Assets/. The wizard creates the folder if it is not there.

Required components

The rig must sit under a camera rig. The wizard looks for an XROrigin, a component from Unity’s Unity.XR.CoreUtils package, and stores the reference in the Camera Rig field.
You do not have to add the camera rig first. The wizard searches the scene when it opens, and fills the Camera Rig field if it finds an XROrigin.
If it finds none, the field reads None (XR Origin), and the Required Components (1) header shows a red error icon. Select Fix next to the field, or select Fix All. The wizard creates a camera rig named UnityXRCameraRig and sets its requested tracking origin mode to Floor.
The Unity XR Comprehensive Interaction Rig Wizard with the Fix All button highlighted and the Create button disabled
The wizard when no camera rig is present in the scene.
Note: The Create button stays disabled until the Camera Rig field has a value.
