OVR Comprehensive Interaction Rig Quick Action

Updated: Aug 21, 2026
Interaction SDK provides the Add OVR Comprehensive Interaction Rig Quick Action. It adds the Comprehensive Interaction Rig to your scene and wires it to your camera rig.

Open the Quick Action

You can start the Quick Action from either of these places:
  • The GameObject > Interaction SDK > Add OVR Comprehensive Interaction Rig menu.
  • The Hierarchy panel right-click menu, under Interaction SDK > Add OVR Comprehensive Interaction Rig.

How it works

The Quick Action opens a wizard window. The window shows the required components and the rig settings. Select Create to build the rig. Select Cancel to close the window without changing your scene.
The rig is added as a child of your OVRCameraRig. It appears in the Hierarchy panel as OVRComprehensiveInteractionRig.
The wizard also turns off duplicate hand visuals. For each OVRHand in the camera rig’s tracking space, it disables the OVRSkeletonRenderer, OVRMesh, OVRMeshRenderer, and SkinnedMeshRenderer components. It writes a message to the Console when it does this.

Settings

These settings need Unity 2022.1 or newer. On earlier versions, the wizard shows no settings.
SettingDescription
Generate As Editable Copy
Unpacks the rig prefab and creates a variant shared by the left and right hierarchies, so you can inspect and edit both sides. Enabled by default.
Prefab Path
Where to save the editable variant, relative to Assets/. The wizard hides this setting when Generate As Editable Copy is off.
The default Prefab Path resolves to this asset:
Assets/InteractionSDK/ComprehensiveInteractors.prefab

Required components

The rig needs an OVRCameraRig in your scene. The wizard looks for one when it opens and lists it as Camera Rig under Required Components.
If your scene has no camera rig, select Fix or Fix All and the wizard creates one. Create stays disabled until the Camera Rig field is filled.
