Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) is now Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH). To download the newest version and see the latest features, click here.
Following up on our 2.0 release at Connect this year, we’ve made several improvements to the Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) to optimize how you work with your devices and accommodate broader developer audiences. Here are the main highlights for Update 2.1:
With the latest Multi-User and App Sharing settings supported on Quest devices, you can now use ODH to easily add, remove, login to, and switch between up to four multi-user accounts on your headset. This means that you can now seamlessly create Test Users, add them as additional secondary accounts to your headset, skip the new user onboarding tutorial when logging in, and then quickly switch between them whenever you need to test your apps with different users—all within ODH, without the need to put on your headset. For more information on how to manage your device’s multiple accounts within ODH, please see our documentation.
Upgraded Performance Page
The full set of XR Runtime and GPU Metrics exposed to Perfetto have been added to the Performance page, including two new features:
On-device screen capture synchronized with metrics: With casting, it's now easier to correlate the metrics you're looking at in ODH with what's happening on screen.
Automatic & configurable flags that are triggered when metrics exceed thresholds: The upgraded performance window in ODH now provides a comprehensive view of your app’s performance across metrics, logs and screen capture. Use automatic flagging to quickly detect and jump to metric values that trigger configurable thresholds.
Downloads Page for Mac & Featured Packages
The Downloads page is now available for Mac users, with added features such as package description and release notes. Manage all your development tools and downloads from one place and keep them updated. The added Featured Package section on the Downloads page for both Windows and Mac can highlight new and updated packages that you may have missed.
Upload Rift Builds to Release Channels
If you develop cross-platform experiences for Quest and Rift, you can now use the same workflow to upload builds for Rift apps in ODH. This feature provides a graphical wrapper around the Oculus Platform Utility command line interface. On the app distribution page, select a Rift app and find the Upload action to upload a build to a specific Release Channel. While ODH is primarily for Quest development, this should streamline build uploads for cross-platform apps.
You can view additional information or download ODH here. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know in the developer forums.
