Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) helps you improve development iteration time, measure app performance, and stay informed on Oculus community news. If you tuned in for Connect 2021, you heard more about our latest update—ODH 2.0—that brings a fresh new look and several new features to make working with your devices more natural. From improvements in file and user management to performance monitoring and all-around quality of life, this is a big one!
  • UI Redesign - ODH has undergone a UI overhaul for a more modern look catered to developer efficacy. The new compact layout style frees up more screen real estate for your workflow. Some notable examples are the My Device page and Downloads page.
  • Test Accounts - You can now view and create Test Users for your developer org directly under App Distribution in ODH and develop for multiplayer applications using multiple test accounts. For more information, please see the Test Users documentation.
  • File Manager - This is a new page to manage files like on-device apps, recorded metrics, images, and videos across your headsets as well as local files. Browse files across all of your connected headsets, copy these files into your local directory or share them with teammates.
  • Trace Analysis by Perfetto - Customize the TraceConfig used by Perfetto. Pick from the most common TraceConfig options or enter a custom JSON TraceConfig for complete flexibility.
  • New Performance Page - The Performance Analyzer tab has been redesigned and expanded. This tab synchronizes VrApi metrics with Logcat output in a single view, making it easier to analyze performance of apps on your device. You have the ability to playback this data and see how metrics, logs, and video come together at any point in time.
  • Release Channel Manager - You can now install a build to your device from release channels and push a build from one release channel to another on the App Distribution page.
  • Copy Device Settings - You can now select and copy certain device settings, such as system version, serial number, ADB path, and ODH version.
  • Improved Feedback - ODH now supports rapid feedback notifications, making it easier to complete surveys from Oculus. Videos can also now be attached to the bug report form within ODH.
Hear more about how ODH can simplify your workflow, support iteration time, measure app performance, and more, in this Connect session.
