Build for Inclusion: Virtually Unstoppable: Women in XR
Oculus VR
In 2020, we launched Build for Inclusion, an interactive online learning series designed to keep diverse developers and creators connected, informed, and supported. Through this series and other efforts, including the new Metaverse Culture Series, we’re hoping to bring together a variety of voices and talent from broad spectrums of gender, race, and identities to help shape the conversation around game development and the future of VR.
The following video from the series, Build for Inclusion: Virtually Unstoppable: Women in XR, features a discussion about how women can challenge the status quo in AR/VR and continue to champion diversity and inclusion in gaming and the workplace.
Serving as both moderator and ally, Intelligame Founder Josh Boykin joins a group of influential pioneers and award-winning developers, including Emblematic Group CEO and Founder Nonny de la Peña, Scatter Co-Founder Yasmin Elayat, and Arvore Creative Director Ana Ribeiro, to discuss how they draw upon their unique backgrounds to build experiences for all. The video also features a halftime performance by magician Kayla Drescher.
Join the conversation on Twitter and Facebook to connect with fellow developers, ask questions, and receive news about upcoming industry events.
