Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) is now Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH). To download the newest version and see the latest features, click here.
Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) helps you improve development iteration time, measure app performance, and stay informed on developer news. Our latest update includes new capabilities and improvements to existing features that will improve your daily development workflow. Here are the highlights:
  • Video capture quality and aspect ratio options
  • Support for Meta Accounts
  • Device and File Manager Improvements

Video Capture Quality and Aspect Ratio Options

Starting with version 2.6, ODH added new settings in Device Manager to record higher quality 16:9 aspect ratio videos. New video capture settings include the ability to select eye view, video resolution, frames per second, and bitrate. With these options, you can now capture better video for marketing assets or make it easier to collaborate on art and design with video examples.

Support for Meta Account Login

Starting with version 2.7, ODH will support our new Meta account structure, once it’s publicly available. Meta accounts will give people more flexibility and control in VR. After setting up your Meta account, you’ll need to update ODH to version 2.7 to continue using it. To do so, open ODH and select “Download” from the 2.7 release notes window. You can also download ODH 2.7 from the ODH downloads page in Developer Center when it becomes available. If you choose not to set up your Meta account right away, you may continue using previous versions of ODH or update to 2.7, although we recommend setting up your Meta account and updating ODH to gain access to the latest features.

Device and File Manager Improvements

We’ve made feature enhancements to both the Device Manager and the File Manager sections of ODH. In the Device Manager, developers can now see the device names along with connection status in the devices dropdown, as opposed to the device serial numbers. This will make it easier to choose the correct device when using device actions. Additionally, files on devices can now be renamed directly on the device, allowing developers to better identify their images and movies that reside on the device.

Miscellaneous

We also made the following fixes and improvements across ODH:
  • Added new option to trace buffer size in Performance Analyzer
  • Fixed a bug that caused ADB over WiFi to spin indefinitely
  • Fixed a bug that caused build uploads to fail with “SPAWN UNKNOWN” error
  • Fixed issue preventing Perfetto from working correctly on Windows
  • Fixed issue preventing RenderDoc from downloading and installing on Windows
We hope you enjoy ODH version 2.7, and we look forward to your feedback! If you haven’t already downloaded ODH, you can do so now for Windows or macOS. Learn more in our ODH Documentation. If you have any questions, please let us know in the Developer Forum.
