Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) is now Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH). To download the newest version and see the latest features, click here.
Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) helps you improve development iteration time, measure app performance, and stay informed on developer news. Our latest update includes new capabilities and improvements to existing features that will improve your daily development workflow. Here are the highlights:
  • Multiplayer Testing
  • Perfetto Improvements
  • Feedback Survey

Multiplayer Testing

A new device action—Multiplayer Testing—allows you to test Group Launch directly from ODH on multiple devices. Group Launch enables people to easily party up and join apps together. Multiplayer Testing works for any app that has Group Destinations registered and at least one binary uploaded to a release channel. Launch your app on one or more devices with a specific destination and lobby session ID.
This feature eases implementation and improves reliability of group destinations. To begin utilizing Multiplayer Testing in your workflow, check out our documentation guide. This guide will help you prepare destinations in the Developer Dashboard and test destinations in ODH.

Perfetto Improvements

We've made several improvements to Perfetto in ODH. Perfetto now captures ATrace for all apps by default. ATrace is shorthand for Android system app trace events, which are custom slices and counters that can be added to a trace to allow you to profile specific areas of your apps. Previously apps had to be specified individually. You can now access Perfetto settings and Recorded Traces at any time; these were previously inaccessible without a connected device. Finally, Perfetto traces can be renamed and appear in their own section in the File Manager. This will help you label specific traces and find them more easily.
Learn more about running Perfetto Traces in ODH here and here.

Feedback Survey

A new survey flow has been added to ODH that will allow you to share feedback on your development experience with Meta. Surveys will occasionally appear in a new window while browsing the Oculus News page and the Downloads page. The survey window can be closed at any time and you can continue using ODH normally.

Miscellaneous

We also made the following fixes and improvements across ODH:
  • Casting during performance analysis can now be toggled on/off at any time
  • Running apps can now be stopped from the app list
We hope you enjoy Update 2.5, and we look forward to your feedback! If you haven’t already downloaded ODH, you can do so for Windows or macOS. Learn more in the ODH Documentation. If you have any questions, please let us know in the developer forums.
