Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH) helps you improve development iteration time, measure app performance, and stay informed on developer news. Our latest update includes build upload improvements and new capabilities to streamline your daily development workflow. Here are the highlights:
New build upload flow with drag-and-drop support
Added support for uploading an installed app from your Meta Quest device
Visual cue improvements for apps that don’t have recent uploads
Seamlessly Upload Builds with Drag and Drop
With v3.1, you can drag and drop APK packages directly into MQDH—and select its release channel from the same modal. Every second adds up, and this upgrade can save you time by eliminating repeated steps when locating the APK on your file system.
Easily Upload Installed Apps to Release Channels
With our latest update, you can upload apps installed on your connected Meta Quest device directly to release channels in MQDH. If an APK package name on your connected device’s “Apps” list matches the name of any apps you’ve previously uploaded builds to, you’ll now have the option to upload the APK from your device with pre-selected org and app dropdowns. This makes it easier to test your apps on-device and immediately upload the APK to a release channel.
Visual Cue Improvements in “App Distribution”
To help you keep track of your app’s latest build across each of your release channels, the App Distribution page in MQDH will feature warning indicators that can tell you if your app’s release channels haven’t been updated recently. An orange circle will appear next to your app’s name if a new binary hasn’t been uploaded to any of its release channels in the past two weeks so you can take the appropriate action.
We hope you enjoy MQDH v3.1, and we look forward to your feedback! If you haven’t already downloaded MQDH, you can do so from its new page on our Developer Center. Learn more in our MQDH Documentation. If you have any questions, please let us know in the Developer Forum.
