Embracing and prioritizing diversity and accessibility are some of the best ways developers can expand their audience, build their community, and develop an environment that incorporates and reflects a broad range of views and perspectives. In these Facebook Connect panel discussions, VR creators shared how they’re working to develop more inclusive worlds and experiences.

State of Social Impact

Three creators of highly influential social impact VR experiences—Sandra Bialystock (Home After War), Celine Tricart (The Key and Sun Ladies), and Alton Glass (In Protest and The March)—discussed the visions for their projects, their accomplishments and challenges, and what success looks like to them.

Diverse Voices

Oculus Store Content Launch Manager Richard Duck led a panel discussion on how developers can focus on diversity and accessibility during development. Panelists Mari Kyle (Content Launch Manager for the Oculus Store), Josh Boykin (Founder of Intelligame), and Hessvacio Hassan (Founder of Made in Brooklyn Games and creator and lead developer of Museum Multiverse) shared their best practices and considerations for incorporating and uplifting diverse voices and building accessibility into their VR experiences.
