Customize passthrough
Updated: Apr 15, 2026
Passthrough customization allows you to adjust the visual appearance of the camera feed, combine passthrough with VR content to create mixed reality experiences, and create selective windows into the real world.
- Passthrough Styling
Customize the visual style of passthrough using opacity, edge rendering, color adjustments, and LUTs.
- Color Mapping Techniques
Techniques to map each input color to a different output color with passthrough, including brightness and contrast adjustments, grayscale mapping, and color look-up tables (LUTs).
- Compositing and Masking
Combine passthrough with VR content using AR mode, occlusions, and passthrough windows.
- Passthrough AR
Configure underlay passthrough so the camera feed renders behind your virtual content.
- Occlusions
Use environment depth occlusion to make real objects appear in front of virtual objects.
- Passthrough Windows
Create windows through which passthrough is visible in your scene.
- Surface Projected Passthrough (Deprecated)
Configure surface-projected passthrough using static and procedural meshes. This feature is deprecated.
