Subscriptions Analytics Dashboard

Subscriptions launched this past April, enabling Oculus developers to use a new monetization method to grow their businesses. To better support our developers using Subscriptions, we are launching the new Subscriptions Analytics Dashboard. This dashboard is designed to deliver more subscription insights and help developers make informed decisions based on the data.
To access the Subscriptions Analytics Dashboard, go to the Developer Dashboard. Select your app, and select “Subscriptions” under the “Analytics” section. You can filter the data by headset or by time range.

The Data

Summary Data

The summary data is designed to help you understand the top line metrics. You can view your active subscriptions count, the net growth of active subscriptions, and what percent of your total app users are currently subscribed. This provides an overview of your subscriptions scale and how it’s changing.

Active Subscriptions

This time series chart breaks down active subscriptions into 3 series: Trial, Paid, and All. This will give you a detailed view of how trial, paid or all subscriptions change over time. You can use this chart to identify spikes and drops in Subscriptions, especially as you add new features over time.

Paid Subscriptions

The Paid Subscriptions time series chart is designed to help you understand how people are interacting with Subscriptions on a daily basis. This will give you an idea of how many people newly entered a paid subscription (without trial), how many of the current paid subscriptions renewed, how many of them got canceled, and how many of the canceled subscriptions expired at the end of the subscription term.
This shows a picture of your daily subscriptions events, such as whether people cancel their subscriptions due to a major update or whether people prefer to renew the subscriptions instead of canceling and letting them expire.

Trial Subscriptions

The Trial Subscriptions chart is only for those subscriptions with a trial offer. This will help you understand how your app trial subscriptions perform, and whether people tend to convert into a paid subscription, or tend to churn after the trial period.

Final Thoughts

We hope this dashboard provides insights into your subscriptions data and helps you build a more engaging experience. We welcome your feedback!
