Haptics Studio is now Open Source

Meta is open sourcing Haptics Studio alongside the Haptics SDK to empower game developers to build best-in-class haptics regardless of platform. Haptics Studio makes it easy for creators and developers to design haptic feedback without deep technical expertise, now fully open for the community to build on.


What's New


  • Updated UI: The UI has been overhauled for the open-source release. Icons have been replaced with open-source alternatives and typography now uses an open-source font, ensuring the full experience is freely distributable.
  • Paste Emphasis in Place: Paste only the emphasis data from your clipboard onto the current clip's amplitude, giving you more precise control over layering haptic emphasis.
  • Android-Compatible Export: Added a new export format compatible with Android devices.
  • Improved Audio Playback: You can now stop audio playback using the Spacebar or the stop button.
