This Blueprint is deprecated in Unreal Engine 5.6. Use persistent passthrough via the Passthrough Subsystem instead. For the recommended approach, see Persistent Passthrough.

Overview

This Blueprint creates an OculusXR Passthrough Layer Component and attaches it to an actor. The component is deprecated in Unreal Engine 5.6 in favor of persistent passthrough, which uses the OculusXR Passthrough Subsystem to manage passthrough at the game instance level. Unlike this component, which is destroyed when its owning actor is destroyed, persistent passthrough remains active throughout the application’s lifetime and survives level transitions.

Arguments

  • Target: Indicates the actor object reference.
  • Manual Attachment: Whether automatic or manual attachment is to be used.
  • Relative Transform: The relative transform between the new component and its attached parent (Automatic Attachment only).

Output

  • Return Value: The OculusXR Passthrough Layer Component object reference.
