This page provides an overview of the benchmarks feature within the Developer Dashboard. As a developer, these metrics benchmarks allow members in your organization (with access to analytics) to compare your app’s metrics with those of other apps on the Meta Horizon Store. You can use these benchmarks to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Prerequisites
You must have published an app on the Meta Horizon Store with more than 100 active users over its lifetime to view benchmarks.
You are only able to compare your app in the IAP and DLC Revenue per Active User benchmark if your app has generated more than $0 (USD) in add-on content revenue (excluding subscriptions) during the specified time period.
You must have an account within your organization with the proper permissions to access the dashboard. For more information, see Add members and roles to your organization.
Limitations
Any filtered segments with fewer than 15 apps will not be displayed. This safeguard prevents the sharing of individual app data.
Benchmarks are calculated on a fixed 7-day window from Sunday through Saturday each week. Historical data is available starting from the week of June 9, 2024.
Some genres might be missing from the Genres filter as only top genres for apps and games are included.
Using benchmarks
To view the metrics benchmark analytics dashboard:
Open your browser and navigate to the Benchmarks dashboard.
Choose your app.
Select a time period for the comparison. Note that benchmarks are available only in 7-day intervals.
Apply filters to narrow down the benchmark to segments most relevant to you.
Key features
The key features for this dashboard are the filter options that effectively narrow down data so you can gain insights into specific benchmarks. The Category filter lets users choose between Games and Apps. The Genre filter offers options like Action, Casual, and Adventure. The Pricing filter allows selection from various price ranges, including Free, Paid, and specific dollar amounts.
The User Engagement filter tracks user engagement over time, with options for the last 7 or 28 days. The Monetization filter shows whether an app includes a subscription, helping users segment their data. These filters provide insights into user interactions with apps and games, aiding monetization strategy decisions.
For detailed information on available genres, see Content labeling and taxonomy. This resource offers an overview of different genres, including their definitions and characteristics.

You can configure analytics alerts for this dashboard to set up and receive alerts for your app. For more information, see Analytics alerts.
Best practices
Use the benchmarks feature regularly to monitor how well your app is performing over time.
Evaluate how factors such as new content updates, sales, and holidays affect your benchmarks.
Use the insights gained from the benchmarks feature to help prioritize your roadmap. For example, if PDP Visits to Conversion Rate is underperforming, consider running a creative A/B test with new PDP assets.
The benchmarks feature provides general guidance and may not reflect the unique circumstances of your app. Benchmarks should not be used for making business or financial decisions.
