Profiles

Profiles provide a way for your team to build community, engage with users who follow you, and increase the discoverability of your content. Through the Profiles feature within the Developer Dashboard, you can highlight apps, developer posts, events, and other content you have built.

Eligibility and guidelines

People with the administrator role in your developer team can manage a profile as long as your team meets the following criteria:
  • has one or more active developer accounts on the Meta Horizon platform
  • has one or more published apps

Getting started

  1. Log in to the Developer Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Team > Profile.
  3. Complete your profile setup by editing the profile name, selecting apps to display, and configuring other settings.
  4. Populate your profile by creating content through developer posts and events.
  5. Monitor your insights to optimize your strategy.

Key features

The key features of profiles include the following:

Manage your profile

Customizable profile: You can edit your profile name, manage which apps appear on your profile, and control the order in which they’re displayed.
External links: Add links to your external communities such as Instagram, TikTok, and Discord.
Content management: Choose whether to display developer posts, events, and your follower count publicly.

Promote content on your profile

Developer posts: Share updates, announcements, and other content with your followers.
Events: Create and promote events from your Profile.
App and add-On showcase: Display all your published apps and add-ons in one place.

Analytics

Follower growth: Track how your follower count changes over time.
Profile impressions: Monitor how many users are viewing your Profile.
Views on content: See the number of unique views and clicks into the content on your Profile.

Additional discovery surfaces

Unique URL: Each Profile has a unique URL that you can share externally.
Store integration: Users can find Profiles from your app’s Product Detail Page (PDP). Additional Store integrations may be added at a later date.
Post-purchase promotion: Some users will be prompted to follow your profile after purchasing your app.

Best practices

Building your following

Complete your profile. Ensure all profile information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
Cross-promote. Share your Profile URL on your external channels to build your following.
Make regular updates. Post content regularly to keep your followers engaged.

Content strategy

Highlight key apps. Feature your most popular or newest apps prominently in your profile.
Vary your content. Mix announcements, events, and other updates to keep your feed interesting.
Use clear calls-to-action. Include clear calls-to-action in your posts to encourage user engagement.
