Thanks for your interest in the Mixed Reality Capture Tool (“Tool”). By downloading or accessing the Tool, you agree to the following terms and conditions (“Terms”):

Our License to You

Facebook Technologies, LLC (“Oculus”) gives you a worldwide, non-assignable, non-exclusive and revocable license to use the Tool. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling you to use the Tool to create mixed reality content (“Content”) as permitted by the Tool. You are not permitted to reverse engineer or attempt to extract or modify the source code of the Tool, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission. Using the Tool does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Tool.

Some software in the Tool may be offered under an open source license. There may be provisions in the open source license that expressly override some of these Terms.

Help Us Discover Your Content

Oculus is excited to see what you create using the Tool. To help us discover your Content, please consider sharing the following text somewhere easy for us to find: “This content was made using the Oculus Mixed Reality Capture Tool. For more information about Oculus, visit www.oculus.com".

We may ask to publicize your Content. If you consent, then you give Oculus (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such Content for any purpose.

Feedback

If you submit feedback or suggestions about the Tool, we may use your feedback or suggestions without any obligation to you.

Use Restrictions

Don’t misuse the Tool. For example, don’t use the Tool to create harmful or offensive Content, such as materials associated with pornography or illegal activities, and don’t use the Tool in a way that implies a partnership with or endorsement by Oculus. You may use the Tool only as permitted by law, including applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations.

We may terminate your license to the Tool if you do not comply with these Terms or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.

Limitation of Liability

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR USE OF THE TOOL, AND WE PROVIDE THE TOOL TO YOU “AS IS.” OCULUS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES REGARDING THE TOOL, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. OCULUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE TOOL. OCULUS’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE TOOL SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

Changes

We may modify these Terms to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to the Tool. We’ll provide reasonable notice to you of any material changes. If you do not agree to the changes, you should discontinue your use of the Tool.
