There is a limitation in Meta Quest device recordings where remote participant voice chat audio is not captured during multiplayer sessions, despite local participants being able to hear each other during gameplay. This behavior is intentional starting in 2025 and is not configurable through recording settings. The limitation affects content creation workflows, such as promotional trailers, influencer campaigns, and community videos, which require authentic multiplayer voice interactions. A feature request has been made for an opt-in mechanism to allow content creators to approve audio recording of remote participants in multiplayer sessions.
