Single send notifications are messages that can be delivered to an entire audience that you define. You could use these types of notifications to announce an update to your app, remind your users of an event that they previously expressed interest in, promote new add-on content in the Oculus Store, and more.
These notifications can be sent to all people who own your app, or a smaller segment like your app’s most active users or people who have not used your app recently.
Event-based notifications are notifications generated based on events that you specify in your app’s code. These notifications encourage specific engagement based on user or friend activity. For example, when a user completes a level in your game, you can send an event-based notification for them to continue to the next level.
All Quest developers with apps in the Quest Store will be able to create user notifications, with availability for App Lab coming in the following months.
