Create. Compete. Win Big: Join the $1M Meta Horizon Competition launching on March 11

As part of our $50 million investment in Horizon Worlds creators, we're excited to launch a new competition to accelerate and reward innovative mobile world development.

Starting on March 11, 2025, this competition, themed "Mobile Genre Showdown” will reward 30 talented creators with up to $1 million in prizes for building innovative mobile experiences in Meta Horizon Worlds. The top five winners will be awarded $100,000 each and the remaining $500,000 will be distributed to 25 additional winners across multiple categories.

Whether you have experience creating for other content platforms or want to expand your existing skills in Horizon Worlds, this year’s competition is a great way to expand your reach and get familiar with new advanced creation tools. Dive in below for more details and hear from past winners.

The Mobile Genre Showdown competition will be open to all Meta Horizon Creator Program (MHCP) members (sign up to be eligible to enter!) from March 11 through May 8, 2025, giving you plenty of time to build and submit your entries.

We're also excited to announce that this year's competition will be open to creators from even more countries around the world*. All entries will be judged by a group of Meta Experts inline with a set of criteria that will be revealed when the competition starts, including applicable genres.

Build for a Growing Audience: Meta Horizon Worlds has a growing user base, and by participating in this competition, you'll have the chance to showcase your work to a wider audience.

Learn and Grow: ​​By joining the MHCP, you'll be eligible to leverage monetization features that enable you to grow a sustainable business, including monthly bonuses, selling digital items, and competing for cash prizes. MHCP members can also access revamped educational resources and guides to unlock the full potential of the Meta Horizon Worlds desktop editor to deliver maximum fidelity and complexity.

Be Part of a Thriving Community: This competition is part of our ongoing effort to empower creators to build worlds that help people express themselves, play, progress and hang out. By participating, you'll be part of a community building new experiences on Meta Horizon Worlds on mobile.
