Welcome creators!
As a creator in Meta Horizon Worlds, you can use the desktop editor to create a new world, adding objects, scripts, sounds and more.
Only the creator of a world can:
- Publish and unpublish the world.
- Add and remove collaborators to build the world together.
- Duplicate the world and everything in it.
- Delete the world.
When visiting Meta Horizon Worlds as a user, you always see the published version of a world. As a world creator, you can access both the published version and an editable version of your worlds. When visiting a published world you own, you won’t be able to edit it. When editing a world, only people you invite to collaborate will be able to join you.
Before you get started creating your first world, you will need to
install the desktop editor. The desktop editor is your main tool for creating new worlds in Horizon. If you are interested in seeing what tools are available to you as a creator, check out our
tools overview.
