Object Grouping
The Grouping feature in Desktop Editor provides you with the ability to combine objects together so you can select, move, rotate, or scale objects as a single unit. This will allow you to set behaviors, such as collidable, for all the objects in a group. Being able to set behavior for a group of objects will be helpful to improve world organization, do more efficient manipulation, and make object management easier.
- Use Ctrl + Click or Shift + Click to select multiple objects.

- Use one of the following methods to create a group of selected objects:
- Press Ctrl + G on your keyboard.
- Right click, and then select Group selection from the context menu.

- After using one of the methods listed in step 2, the objects you selected in step 1 will appear in a group.
Adding an object to an existing group
- Select the object you want to add to an existing group.

- Click and drag the object selected in step 1. A floating visual of the object will appear under your mouse cursor.

- While keeping your mouse pressed down, drag the object over to the group you want it added to.

- Release your mouse to complete the procedure.
- The entity selected in step 1 will be added to the group chosen in step 3.

Removing objects from groups
- Objects can be removed from groups using the same drag-and-drop procedure described above. Select the item(s) you’d like to remove from the group, click and drag them to the new location in the hierarchy, and release.
- You can also right-click the object you’d like to remove in the hierarchy and select “Remove from group”.
Ungrouping all objects in a group
- Select the group you want to remove in the hierarchy.
- Press Ctrl+G on your keyboard.
- All objects that were in the group will now be removed from the group, and the empty group will be deleted.
Additional Grouping Procedures
The four procedures explained above can be combined to create additional grouping functionality, such as:
- Add multiple objects to an existing group.
- Remove multiple objects from an existing group.
- Move objects from one group to another group.
- Nest groups.
- Add or remove objects from nested groups.
- Move objects from a nested group to a higher level group.
- Undo or Redo your last operation.
