Important
The desktop editor is in early access and we need your feedback! To report bugs, go to the main menu and select Report a problem. To give us feedback, select Help us improve from the main menu. The Asset Generation Metadata Tool can create metadata for the mesh assets in your worlds. This will help you better manage and access your 3D models’ assets. This doc will explain how to:
- Generate a title, description, and tags for mesh assets
- Accept and apply generated title and description
- Edit generated tags
- Desktop Editor installed on your PC.
- One or more 3D models imported into your personal asset library in Desktop Editor.
Gen AI Tool Availability & Rates
Horizon creation tools with Meta AI are currently only available to users in the United States aged 13+. Note that there are daily rate limits per user on content created using Meta AI. Additionally, there are daily rate limits per user on content created using Meta AI. These limits are: - Typescript - 1000 requests
- Audio SFX/Ambient - 200 requests
Note: Asset metadata generation only works on mesh assets.
Click on an asset in your personal asset library to open up the Asset details panel on the right.
Notice the Tag(s) section. The asset metadata generation tool adds tags to this section.
Click AI Metadata to start the metadata generation process. The metadata generation process takes a couple minutes to finish. While generating, the button is disabled.
Warning: You must leave the Asset details panel for this asset open until the metadata generation process finishes. If you click away into another asset, the process won’t generate metadata.
After process finishes, the asset’s tag section will be populated and a suggested title and description will appear.
Note: This tool can’t generate information related to color or texture yet.
- You have the option to either accept or close the suggestion title and description.
If you click Accept, the title and description will update. You can further edit the title and description at this point.
Click Edit, next to the Tag(s) section.
You can now manually adjust the tags by deleting them or adding new ones. Click Save to save your edits.
