Player Camera
The spawn point can be configured to set the player’s camera to third person (where the camera follows the player’s avatar) or first person (where the camera shows the world from the avatar’s point-of-view). The default setting of None will maintain the player’s existing camera selection.
To set the player’s camera, select the spawn point and use the Force HWXS Camera drop-down in the object properties window.
The Force HWXS Camera dropdown offers the following camera modes, with customization options for certain camera modes:
- None: The existing settings are not changed when the player is spawned at this spawn point.
- Third Person: The camera follows the player.
- First Person: The camera is from the player’s point-of-view.
- Orbit: The camera follows the player, but is not fixed behind the player.
- Camera distance: The distance between the camera and the player.
- Pan: The camera follows the player at a fixed position adjacent to the player. You can set the relative position of the camera once Pan has been selected.
- Camera offset: The position of the camera relative to the player, set using a vector with parameters X, Y and Z.
- Follow: The camera follows the player, but is not fixed behind the player. The camera will automatically rotate back behind the player when they are moving.
- Camera Auto Follow Delay: The delay from when the auto-turning is enabled after the camera has stopped being manually rotated.
- Enable Continuous Rotation: If true, the camera will continually rotate back behind the player after avatar movement has finished. This can still be interrupted if an interaction is done with the camera during rotation.
- Horizon Levelling: Enables levelling the camera to the horizon.
- Rotation Rate: The rate at which the camera rotates back behind the player when they are moving. The lower the number, the slower the camera’s movement.
